Abstract

In the article, the content of heavy metals in soils and vegetation of the Bashkir Trans-Urals region was studied with use of a nuclear and absorbing method. The purpose of the work is assessment of degree of an environmental risk for maintaining in the region of animal husbandry. It is shown that rather high level of toxicant content in soils of all types of studied chernozems can be caused by a natural enrichment of soil by the studied elements even up to the level exceeding maximum permissible concentration. On total accumulation of zinc, lead and cobalt, zone subtypes of chernozems of the region formed a row “lixivious>ordinary>southern” with a trend “North-South”. However, the spatial and geographical variation of heavy metals within the Bashkir Trans-Urals region is statistically doubtful. The studied toxicant accumulate at cereals (Stipa capillata L., Festuca pseudovina Hack. ex Wiesb., Bromopsis inermis L.), bean and different grass species in much smaller degree; in the grass species of Uchalinsky region their content practically doesn't exceed maximum permissible concentration, except for copper, zinc and cobalt. These results prove relative ecological safety of animal husbandry in the Bashkir Trans-Urals region. At the same time, the maintenance of the studied toxicant on squares of technogenic pollution significantly increases in elevated part of plants of pasturable communities that demands restrictions on use of pastures near the mining and processing enterprises because of threat to health of the person at the use of livestock products.
