Abstract

An attempt to give an idea of econophysics as a trend of scientific investigations based on the combination of the two sciences: economics and physics is presented in the article. Prerequisites that led to possibility of application of experience of physicists in economy are defined. Such basic notions of econophysics are given as a demand function and a productive function. Some basic models illustrating an application of the methods of physics studies in the solution of the economics problems are given: a model of the struggle of conditional information, a model of an implicit bankruptcy, a model of a transfer from a highly productive state into a lowly productive one, a model of a separation of a financial sector from a real one. Models for ordinary differential equations of the first order are presented. A phase plane is built for their analysis. It gives a visual idea of the processes under study. Such models give an opportunity to describe a firm’s dynamics, to choose directions of its optimum functioning, specify possible options of development of different sectors of economics and the whole state. The analysis of the given models as well of those given in the literature let us find out some advantages of the methods of physics studies as well as their restrictions.
