Abstract

The article devoted to the poetics of classic tragedies of Bashkir literature by M. Karim. The subject of the analysis are the texts of so-called triptych “On the night of a lunar eclipse”, “Salavat. Seven dreams through reality”, “Do not leave the fire, Prometheus!” dominated by a sequence of events, the priority is the system of motives. Determining the motivational structure of the conflict, the author draws on the views of such scholars as G. B. Khusainov, M. N. Lomunova, B. Bugrov, R. B. Ahmadiev and others on the nature of the images, categories motive structure works functions in imaginative world of dramatic work. The first experience of M. Karim in a tragic genre was the play “On the night of a lunar eclipse”. It is based on materials of ordinary, everyday life of the Bashkirs in an era where tribal ties and relations have played an important, socially significant role. Figures of weak spirit rise to truly heroic heights; conflicts that are small at first glance, become filled with genuine tragedy. In the tragedy “Salavat. Seven dreams through reality”, a chosen form of the poem - the poem-tragedy, the song-tragedy - allowed the author to present image of historical person in the light of people's memory, to reveal the unique psychological personality of the protagonist by means of folklore poetics. The real time of the play is a synthetic historical time, an auxiliary time that ensures the development of the plot in conditions of ancient world. The tragedy “Do not leave the fire, Prometheus!” is also permeated with a spirit of optimism; it highlights the vitality of ideas and ideals of the hero. Pathos of the play is determined by thinking that the heroic confrontation of the gods, Zeus and Prometheus, in the name of people, their happiness, for the triumph of reason on earth cannot pass without a trace, it is stronger than those who are deprived of these feelings. Conflicts of tragedies by M. Karim are fully implemented in the content and settled in optimistic terms.
